What’s New With Fire Girl Photography?

by Editor on July 16, 2010

It’s been a busy few weeks here in Texas.  Hard to believe I have been down south for sixteen days – life in Montana seems both like a long time ago and only a day ago.  I’m still adjusting to the heat and getting used to it being in the high eighties when I wake up in the morning!

This past week I had the pleasure to shoot some canine images for an Austin lady named Kandi.  Kandi is a dog trainer in the area and needed some images of her dog, Zany, doing tricks and showing off her good manners.  Zany ended up being a very photogenic pup and our morning session in Auditorium Shores along the banks of the Colorado River produced some fun images.  Zany was the first dog I have photographed; it was great fun and I look forward to more dogs in the future!

I recently accepted a position as an equine veterinary assistant in San Marcos (between Austin and San Antonio).  I’ll be moving over the next few days and look forward to exploring some new territory.  Never fear, photography will continue in full swing and San Marcos will be a strategic location to base out of as I chase down some stories.

Life is short; might as well live it up.  I find that the busier I am the happier I am, and though juggling a large amount of projects may seem overwhelming it’s really the only way to live.  Who wants to sit around stuck in a rut when there is so much of the world to be explored?  So get out.  Go for a drive.  Across town, across the state, across the country.  You never know what is waiting right around the corner!
