Changing Light

by Editor on September 30, 2010

This past week I had the chance to shoot another equestrian portraiture session.  Loaded up the gear and took off to Luling, Texas, for an evening of fresh air and horses. Shelley and her Quarab mare were perfect models, the weather was ideal, and the facility was nice and quiet.  We met about an hour and a half before sunset and high clouds provided warm, filtered light for an almost ideal setting.

The best part of photography is getting to meet amazing people and catch a little glimpse into their worlds!

I’ve had a few emails asking where I have been this week.  Yesterday’s post was suspiciously absent and I guess folks have been wondering.  To answer, I have been stranded in Austin sans camera gear and photo library.  The front brakes on the Suby needed urgent work and an afternoon repair turned into a multi-day ordeal.

On that note, Fire Girl Photography is relocating to Austin.  Other business needs necessitate a move to the city.  I will still be available for assignment and commercial work any time, any place.  The address will just be different.

This summer has been full of unforeseen surprises.  Who knows what fall has in store?
