Gallatin Glow

http://www.mscnantes.org/uxjnio97 I spent half a day up the Gallatin Canyon last week, enjoying what slivers of sunshine I could find and the clearness of the frigid water.  On a whim I had tossed my waterproof mud boots into the car and was thrilled when I could put them to good use.

https://mocicc.org/agricultura/rso9mo2 The water was cold and the ice was slick, but I love the quiet look of this shot.  Long exposures can be tricky when the tripod is in the water – the water likes to jiggle the tripod just enough to create mini-vibration.  (I used to work for an outdoor videography company and was cameraman for many river-based shoots.)  Sometimes, however, it turns out right and that miniscule camera shake creates some unique and fun effects!
