Summer and the River

see Another winter storm has blown through Montana, dropping temperatures down to the 20’s and bringing another layer of “white stuff”.  Good for the skiers, but the sudden onslaught of winter is making several fishermen I know ache for long summer days.

https://lavozdelascostureras.com/ewb7ssy2s This picture captures long summer days on the river for me.  The rich colors, glitter of the sun on the oar and water, the contrast between the rich blue of the river and the bright yellow of the oar.  Bringing the camera gear along on river trips is always a little unnerving (water, dust, and SLR cameras do not get along well!) but the results are always, always worth it.
