go to link Frigid temperatures (think raw temperature of -15 and wind chill in the -30s) found me trekking over to the Big Hole Valley yesterday. Incredibly, the weather was mostly clear and provided some decent, albeit bitterly cold photo opportunities.

The rest of the day was spent between the small towns of Wisdom and Jackson at the ranch of Harold Peterson. Harold is a third generation Montanan and an excellent example of a rare breed – the hard-core, feed-by-hand Montana rancher. We spent a lovely afternoon talking about conservation projects on his land and the history of the ranch.
