Still processing pictures from the trip over to the Big Hole two days ago. The Big Hole Valley is a beautiful area – ranching heaven, with plentiful water and grazing. I have no doubt that there are more cattle than people in the valley.
follow site There is also an incredible selection of raptors in the valley. I was able to get close enough to this hawk for a series of shots, and saw more golden eagles, hawks, and falcons than I have in some time. They were all resting in the sun, trying to absorb what solar heat they could to fight the cold!
