follow Made it back to Austin last night. The Rockport area made for a challenging photography trip this time – exceedingly flat lighting and rainy weather made for some difficult shooting conditions. I’m uploading images now and am hoping that getting creative on site will have paid off.

The Great Egret was chillin’ out a shimper moored in one of the marinas and seemed perfectly happy to just relax and watch the activity around him. His choice of a resting place was next to one of the busiest bait stalls in the area and I had to wonder what he thought of all the people coming and going. Rockport has the friendliest bait stalls I have seen and it’s always fun to chat with the local shrimpers to see what the latest news is.
