source Recently I had a request from a fly fishing magazine to shoot a few location pieces on the local Texas rivers. So this morning, in the first of a series, I packed the Suby and headed over to Guadalupe State Park north of San Antonio.
follow url Jake of Dry Fly and his friend Dan kindly agreed to model for me. The two made for enjoyable subjects; from snake watch to climbing off drops into the river, the morning was never boring. We all came back with a few cuts and scrapes after banging through the bush to access a sweet looking pool.
https://www.brigantesenglishwalks.com/mg7uv4ppdu Texas rivers are proving quite a change from my normal Western “friendly” waters. Everything is different – foliage, light, fish, even the water itself. I’m looking forward to exploring the waterways down here… sans snakes, of course.
