Where were you ten years ago? I was driving into eighth grade, driving through downtown small town Montana, the sun just starting to burn off the chill of a September morning. I listened in somber silence to the radio as I heard the news and went into the classroom to find much of the class hysterical.
Days later, I remember standing in the remnants of the Moose Fire in Glacier – surrounded by our own ash and smoke – for a class camp, listening to President Bush’s address come quietly from the radio in a park ranger’s car. I was the only one from the class who snuck away to listen.
Where were you?
