Packing the Bags For Outdoor Nation

by Fire Girl Jess on July 20, 2011

Busy this morning packing bags for the Outdoor Nation Summit in Denver.  Appropriately, camera and communication gear is receiving much more attention than personal gear.

I’ll get into Denver tomorrow night and rendezvous with the Outdoor Nation crowd Friday morning at Colorado’s Cherry Creek State Park, where we will be camping out for the next three days.  I’m curious to see what three people I end up sharing a tent with!  One of the best aspects of travel is the people you meet along the way.

Friday is booked with Summit meetings.  Saturday, though, promises to be more fun with a “Summer Fun” day that is open to the public.  Denver-ites, come play with us!  My hopes are not terribly high for real action / adventure photography but I hope to come away from the weekend with a solid documentary / editorial series.  Sunday is filled with more meetings; the event wraps up around 1500h and I have an evening to cruise around Denver before flying back to Austin Monday morning.

Crazy schedule aside, hopefully ON will serve as somewhat of a much-needed break from Texas!  I’ll be back posting Monday or Tuesday with pictures and a Summit review.
