source Well, I have been down in Texas a little over a week now. Finally recovered from the marathon drive and am now thinking clearly and feeling a little more human. (Getting no more than five hours of sleep a night has delayed the recovery process a bit!)
https://mhco.ca/krns3ce Recently returned from a trip down the coast to Corpus Christi. Driving along the coast, watching flamingoes fly overhead, uncomfortably large snakes crawl through the grass at rest stops, and anglers reel in good-sized redfish I couldn’t but help compare the fauna of south Texas with that of Montana. Up there, we worried about grizzlies and mountain lions. Down here it’s snakes and sharks. Pick your poison – it’s all interesting to photograph!

I spied a funny looking brownish lump in the water and turned around to check it out. It turns out Mr. Bear was going for a swim. I guess some days we all need to cool off a little.
