https://marcosgerente.com.br/g23gmpo0jzl I spent Saturday afternoon strolling around downtown Austin, watching people and exploring the lay or the land. Street photography is, for me at least, the hardest type of photography. Composing on the spot, approaching and talking to strangers, blending in while still getting the shots I want… it’s a challenge.
see urlhttps://luisfernandocastro.com/0ivm3tivu0 I was feeling the need for a little self-education Saturday so I clipped on my 17-40 lens and shot wide… really wide. It’s a stellar lens and I really appreciate for those moments when I need to capture a stunning sunset, a huge crowd, or something of the like. But in all reality I use it as a “specialty” lens and don’t use it that often. Handy to have in the lens quiver but certainly not my workhorse.

As sometimes seems to happen, the shots I came away with are vastly different than what I had originally intended. And – surprise of surprises – it was damn fun. I’m still processing through the majority of the images… take a look and let me know what you think!
