A Lot to Be Thankful For…

Happy Thanksgiving!  It seems surreal that we are already back to late November and Thanksgiving time again.  I have been re-uploading pictures to populate the new Fire Girl blog and realizing that this time last year I had no idea life would bring me to Texas.  I had no concept I would be shooting the stories I am.

This time last year I was sitting in snowy ditches taking pictures of Montana winter sunsets and snowshoeing through the mountains.

And though life may not always work out the way we expect it to, sometimes it’s even better.  There is always something to be thankful for.  We live in a free country.  We can choose what to do with our own lives… where we live, how we live.  That’s worth a lot.  We have servicemen fighting all over the globe for that very right.

So make an effort today – rather you celebrate Thanksgiving or not – to be thankful.  For both the big things and the little things.  Because, when you get right down to it, no matter what your situation there is always something to be thankful for.
