I discovered some of the most amazing music I’ve ever heard (aka Tartanic, now the official road-tripping music of Fire Girl Photography) and made some fascinating new friends.

It involved crawling in the dirt, climbing into trees, and spending lots of time talking to people before they were comfortable enough around me for a candid portrait.
