Austin Time

I’m getting ready to lease an apartment here in Austin. (And no, it is not the end of the world… I’ll be keeping a Montana address as well but am making a form of commitment to Texas.)

Staying in Austin for a while is making me leave my comfort zone far behind – just like accepting an assignment to photograph bands at SXSW did this past spring. I’m learning that the best things in life come when you step out of the comfort zone.

Thinking about basing out of Austin for a while has made me go back through some images of my SXSW coverage from this past spring. Here are a few shots of the up-and-coming band Brite Futures performing in a typical Austin dive bar. Very cool group – by far the most interesting and pleasant group I worked with the entire event.
