Montana Shakespeare in the Parks is about to wrap up another summer of productions. The final performance is 4 September at the historical Ellen theatre in Bozeman. For those in Bozeman at the moment, I have one word for you.

This is my first year in many to have missed MSIP’s summer run of productions. After working closely with the cast last spring during three chilly (and rainy!) nights in Bozeman, I’ve certainly missed the team’s energy, not to mention the bard’s classic works. I’ve wanted to pull out my tome of Shakespeare but it’s somewhere in storage either in Montana or Texas.
So I’ve settled this morning for paging through images I’ve shot of the group over the last few years. Looking through images like this one from 2009 – during the Sweet Pea Festival in Bozeman; I literally got off the day job, drove home to my apartment on the edge of town, and walked to the festival. This was the month I purchased my “pro” photo gear and I realize now just how much my photography style has been refined. Many of theses images from 2009 like similar to those I’ve seen from other photographers; I had yet to find my style, my trademark.
It’s taken two years of shooting (as of this month!) but I like to think I’ve finally found my personal swing of things.
MSIP, job well done on another year. Hope I catch you next season!
