Hugh on Austin

This showed up in my email the other day.  Hugh MacLeod is arguably one of the best business minds around and seeing this made me feel somewhat more confident having made the decision in Austin.

I went to the University of Texas at Austin, and I also go to SXSW in Austin every year, without fail.

There’s something special about Austin, a special confluence of factors (climate, quality of life, hippie-meets-music-meets-cowboy-meets-high-tech-meets-barbecue-meets-Mexican-food) that makes it one of the most spectacularly livable cities in the Western world.

I wanted to create a cartoon that gave justice to that idea, an idea that the geeks would understand.

And so I did.
