Don’t Sit at Home

Bison in the Lamar Valley, midwinter. Yellowstone National Park, United States.

“Nothing happens when you sit at home.  I always make it a point to carry a camera with me at all times… I just shoot what interests me at the moment.”

– Elliot Erwitt

You never know when a good image will pop up.  On this winter trip into Yellowstone I had tucked the camera into the passenger seat, thinking the falling snow had gotten too thick for much photography use.  The showers broke for a precious few minutes, giving me just enough time to sight in this panoramic.  By odds I also was able to get my best wolf image to date on this same trip, snow notwithstanding.

Bring the camera and keep it ready.  You just never know.

Always have the camera. Always.

Or, take a day or two off each month and see the really cool events.

I like both. With. And without camera in hand.

Camera and press pass… I can go far if I’ve got both. 🙂

You’re right though, time off to see the really good stuff is irreplaceable.
