“This creed of the desert seemed inexpressible in words, and indeed in thought.” – T. E. Lawrence
In most places, I find while the grand, storied sights are often worth the visit, it’s the little moments of day-to-day life that best capture the spirit of a place. From laughing village children who followed my trail through a centuries-old olive grove to the friendly help of a Royal Jordanian policeman, these little slices of life best capture the odd collision of old and new, this balance between history and politics and —somehow, some way — life moving forward. It’s hard to put words to the feeling.
Thanks to Visit Jordan and the Adventure Travel Trade Association for having me out — keep an eye out for upcoming stories!
