Sometimes – quite often, actually – fascinating color can be found in the places you least expect.
I was working on images for a conservation article on the Upper Madison this past summer and drove past Divide Lake on my way home. Nestled in the northernmost reaches of Yellowstone National Park, Divide Lake serves as a summer watering hole for the local residents.
The evening light caught the moss and grasses growing in the “lake” and highlighted the natural, vibrant colors. The reflections and birds were an appreciated added bonus.
