Ice Capades on the Gallatin River

follow link Yesterday afternoon took me on a foray up the Gallatin Canyon.  The temperatures were bitter, the light was average, but a little creativity can salvage any photography setting.  Ice is rapidly forming on all of the mountain rivers; the Taylors Fork of the Gallatin was all but frozen over.  It’s always a pleasure to see the dark shades and blue-green tints of river ice.
