A Must Read for Creative Types… and Really Everybody

https://photovisions.ca/wy4xwlk I love to read business books.  Other young women I talk to read romances, fantasies, glamour magazines… I read marketing and financial literature.  Call it force of habit.  Self-education.  Whatever.  I like to use my free time wisely (usually).

https://thegreathighway.com/hkouzb72 That said, I am always on the lookout for new and thought-provoking business books.  A good friend steered me to Hugh Macleod’s book “Ignore Everybody and 39 Other Keys to Creativity” on Christmas Eve.  I was intrigued.  Macleod has become famous for his cartoons drawn on the back of business cards and, as it turns out, is a pretty brilliant business mind as well.  I found “Ignore Everybody” a thought provoking, quick read (an hour before bed one night) and most certainly well worth the time.  The book is brutal in its honesty – something lacking in our society today all too often – and is a must-read for anyone thinking about being their own boss.  Some of his cartoons made me laugh.  Some made me grin and shake my head.  A few made me stop, pause, and really think.
