Hitting the road up north in the wee hours of tomorrow morning. A possible – very interesting – business opportunity has arisen in Colorado and I’m heading up to check it out. I’ll be leaving behind temperatures in the 70’s for 30’s and snow… finally some seasonal December weather!
Of course the camera is coming along. I have a small Kelty daypack filled with clothes, dop kit, etc. that is dwarfed by my LowePro shoulder bag.
Priorities, right?
Even though this is not a “photo” work trip and I’ll be either in the car or on the back of a horse (long story…) most of the time, one never knows when a good shot might crop up.
This picture was shot this fall at the oh-so-charming Rainbow Valley Lodge near Ennis, Montana. I was back up in home country filming the ‘Rivers in Motion’ series with the boys from Dry Fly Media. We had finally finished uploading all the tech gear and cataraft and I realized I needed a shot of myself for an upcoming magazine bio. I’m grubby and in clothes I had slept in (in the car) for two days. Hey, whatever works. It’s candid.
I should be back by Sunday and should be posting regularly on Monday.
