source site Day one of SXSW was a success – after driving around downtown for an hour and a half I finally found a place to park. The worst part of the day was over!
go here I wandered around a bit and shot some street photography… Austin does draw a fascinating crowd, especially during SXSW. I could be perfectly happy just sitting by the sidewalk and shooting pictures of people walking by.
go But duty called, as it always does.
https://mhco.ca/wwiv35jzuqz Discovered the music of Brite Futures when I attended their show and had an interview / quick photo session with them afterwards. This band is one to watch! I saw more happy, jiving bodies in that bar than the entire rest of the day put together. With an electro-popster / grunge rock sound and a positive attitude that carries off the stage, Brite Futures was certainly the highlight of the day.
source url I was able to sneak us up into a closed balcony in one of the downtown bars for a quick interview session and photo shoot… the band was awesome to work with. It’s people like this that make me love my job.
